Malifaux Classics

Select metal sculpts from Malifaux's First Edition era and other early Wyrd releases, preserved for collectors, painters, and longtime players.

The Plague has found a voice.

Hamelin the Plagued stands as the full expression of hunger, rats, and corruption given human shape. The metal sculpt carries ragged texture and quiet menace in equal measure, with nothing clean left about him.

The metal detail on the plague rats is so much crisper than the resin versions I've painted. Casting lines were minimal, just a bit of cleanup on the cloak. If you missed this sculpt the first time around, it's worth grabbing.

Painting Hamelin's plague rats took most of an evening, and the detail on the little guys holds up way better than I expected for a first edition sculpt. Only gripe is the mold line running down his coat, but a few passes with a file sorted it.

The metal cast is sharp with barely any mold lines, which is rare for older sculpts. Took a star off because the base tab needed a bit of filing to fit, but Hamelin's plague rats are full of character once assembled.
