Picked these up for some conversion projects and the translucent plastic really does catch light nicely without needing any paint underneath. The 40mm size fits my markers perfectly, and five in a pack means I've got spares for the next batch.

The gold tint actually shows through under the paint, so my conversions look like they're standing on lit glass instead of plain black plastic. Fit was snug on my 40mm round slots with no wobble. Five in a pack is plenty for a small project.

I was worried translucent bases would look cheap, but the gold color is subtle enough to work with my paint scheme. The plastic feels sturdier than plain bases and they didn't warp when I glued the minis down.
