What's inside the Malifaux Fourth Edition Malisaurus Rex box? We break down the contents, assembly notes, and how this Versatile Neverborn monster fits into your crew.
Quick answer
The Malifaux Fourth Edition Malisaurus Rex box contains one enormous Neverborn predator miniature, its stat and upgrade cards, and the base needed for play. It is a direct close combat threat designed to contest central ground.
What makes the Malisaurus Rex different from other Versatile boxes?
Unlike the Effigy-and-Emissary pairs in boxes like Arcane Fate (Arcanists) and Carrion Fate (Resurrectionists), the Malisaurus Rex is a single large monster. That single-model approach means you get a bigger, more imposing piece that demands an immediate answer from your opponent, but you lose the flexibility of having two separate activations.
Malifaux Fourth Edition Malisaurus Rex FAQ
- What is included in the box?
- The Malisaurus Rex box contains one high-quality plastic miniature (32mm heroic scale), its stat and upgrade cards, and the required base. Preparation and assembly are needed.
- Which faction and keyword does it belong to?
- It belongs to the Neverborn faction and has the Versatile keyword, meaning it can be hired into any Neverborn crew without needing a specific leader keyword.
- How does it compare to other Versatile boxes like Arcane Fate or Carrion Fate?
- The Malisaurus Rex is a single large predator built for direct combat and board control. In contrast, Arcane Fate and Carrion Fate each contain two models (an Effigy and an Emissary) that provide flexible support across multiple activations. Choose the Malisaurus Rex if you want a single, hard-hitting centerpiece. Choose a dual-model box if you prefer adaptable support pieces.
